Many of us have had our self esteem knocked at one point or another. Some are able to pick themselves up straight away while others find themselves lost. I was lost long before the death of my first husband who died when I was 25. It was the final straw for me, I felt like all my hopes and dreams had died with him. I then just drifted along, not wanting to get too close to anyone so that I would never have to experience that kind of loss again. I felt trapped, it was like I was sitting in a glass cage watching life go by.
I knew there was more to life than this, I discussed my loneliness and confusion with a number of people and I remember clearly being told that the answers lay within me, if this were true where were they laying so that I could access them?
They say when the student is ready the teacher will appear, well it was about this time that I was introduced to Louise L Hay’s book “You Can Heal Your Life”. This was the beginning of my healing journey, the more I studied her philosophy and practiced her exercises the more my life began to work. I focused on learning to love and accept myself exactly as I am, this is when my life changed forever. I began to attract friends that encouraged and supported me. I met a wonderful man who is now my husband and best friend and together we have created two beautiful children.
I became a certified Louise L Hay teacher in 1999. I am so passionate about this work, it is such a privilege to be part of the process that enables people to transform their lives, to show them that no matter where they have come from they can move to wherever they wish to go. I have witnessed many transformations take place in front of my eyes as people take back their power and start to connect as one with their mind-body-spirit. They start to remember why they came here, what lessons they need to learn along the way to enable them to become all that they are capable of being.
